In choosing the background papers for this project, I wanted to keep the delicate feel as dictated by the little girl’s expression in the photo. I was able to find coordinating papers from a My Mind’s Eye collection that resembles the shade of her dress. Then to put a punch of colour, I took the cue from the deep pink shade of her lips. Originally I was planning to layer a sheet of vellum over the journaling strip, but decided to use pink wired ribbon instead. Attaching the ribbon to the cardstock was easy using my favourite ATG714 gun. I finished it with the three paper flowers in a matching shade of pink.
Materials used: My Mind’s Eye Totally Girl (background and layering sheet); Cricut New Arrival (for cutting the words ‘Little’ and ‘Girl’); Cricut George and Basic Shapes (for cutting the word ‘Flower’); Recollections Floral Embellishments (three pink flowers); Scotch ATG 714 (adhesive).
