When you receive a card with a design that literally has your name on it, doesn’t it feel nice and special to know that someone took the time and effort to put it together just for you? One of the best things about making your own cards is the level of personalization that you would be able to apply to it. This one is for a young man who will be receiving his First Communion.
Using Cricuts George and Basic Shapes cartridge, the letters were cut at 1 1/4 inches using brown textured carstock for the base letters and light blue for the shadow feature. Layer polka dotted blue over a textured yellow cardstock edged with a scalloped edger from EK Success, and finally over the same brown cardstock used for the letters. Adhere the letters over the paper layers, then finish with a matching ribbon from American Crafts and a white bird (to signify the Holy Spirit!).
